The announcement of the A600, fitted with a PCMCIA 'ROM card' promised a new console-style games market that utilised the technology. When reading the article it is clear that they didn't quite grasp the concept of PCMCIA. Hardly their fault, it would take the rest of the industry five years to grasp this fact.
