AmigaN.G. 'Kyoto' concept drawings

Kyoto was the first concept drawing to be released by Amiga as a teaser of what was to come. The design has definite PCTV influences but unlike the PCTV, seperates the base unit and monitor. The lack of keyboard wire also indicates that the device could be shipped with an infra-red sensor on the front of the unit.
Kyoto main unit
The hand unit appears similar to the Palm Pilot or Apple Newton and represents an advancement upon the CDTV controller. It appears to allow Amiga use through a small, relatively slow connection and could be used for anything from switching channels to connecting to the internet. The graphical display suggests that it is far more than a simple infra-red control and could suggest bi-directional communication and the storage of information for work on the move or transport to another machine.
