Is there a program that can convert a MOD file into an Audio CD track?

At the time of writing the Amiga lacks a utility with this ability. The PC application, ModPlug is reportedly able to convert a 4 minute module into a 38Mb WAV file. This can then be recorded onto audio CD with CD-recording software.

Tom Sparks provides an additional two solutions using, either a third party soundcard/digitiser or a mod player and sound recorder

  1. Connect the sound-out into the sound-in on the digitiser. A Third party sound card a full-duplex card is needed.
  2. Open the sound cards options bring up the record window select the mixer and half the volume
  3. Start your recording program and set the sampling rate to 22050 16bit stereo
  4. Open your mod file
  5. Begin recording on the sampling application.
  6. Press the play button on the mod player.

Once the recording has been made:

  1. Resample the music to 44100 16bit stereo and perform any editing to remove additional noise in the recording.
  2. Save the file in PCM format.
  3. Burn the file using your CD writing software.
