Protect

The protect command prevents files from being deleted or stop anyone from reading your important data.

PROTECT RAM:SCRIPT +A

A=Archive, E=Executable, R=Readable, W=Writable

Imagine that you wanted to protect your latest novel, located at DH1:Books\Novel.txt, from deletion. You would open the Shell and type:

PROTECT DH1:BOOKS\NOVEL.TXT -D

To unprotect the file type:

PROTECT DH1:BOOKS\NOVEL.TXT +D

If you want to prevent anyone from reading your work enter:

PROTECT DH1:BOOKS\NOVEL.TXT -R

To unprotect it type:

PROTECT DH1:BOOKS\NOVEL.TXT +R
