I need to Telnet to another machine. What software can I use?

There are a few Telnet programs available, such as Amtelnet and DC-Telnet. The former is probably the best at the moment. DC-Telnet V1.4 is freely distributable and can be found on Aminet. Unfortunately, telnetting is much slower than direct dial calls, although it does work out cheaper. The speed of the connection varies, depending upon a number of factors, such as the speed of your and the persons modem you are connecting to. As well as the added factor of whether the sysop of the BBS you are telnetting to happens to be surfing the web whilst online, slowing connection down.
