EZDev Amiga OE Development Platform

Developer: Eyetech
URL: http://www.eyetech.co.uk/
Release: Mid-2000

As a transitionary product to the AmigaOne, Eyetech, in cooperation with Amiga Inc, introduced four upgraded versions of their EZ Tower range. Each x86 PC is shipped with a copy of the Amiga DevPack as standard, but the Amiga SDK has to be bought separately (for no apparent reason). In a similar fashion to the EZ Tower range, the PC can be integrated with the Amiga through the purchase of the 'EZDev-A1200 integration pack'

While this is an interesting attempt to support the Amiga DE through the use of existing bundles, the systems are uninteresting from an Amiga perspective. The Amiga-side technology is relatively similar to the 1998 bundles, and the PC systems consist of low-end and entry-level systems that can be bought elsewhere for a cheaper price.

EZDev-Plus Utility Sytem

EZDev Entry Level system The entry-level system is based upon the specifications of the 'Zico' standard defined by Amiga Inc. The first two hardware platforms are aimed at 'leisure' computing programmers, who wish to experiment in porting games, applications and utilities from the Classic Amiga platform to the Amiga OE.
